The funeral services occurred at the home Tuesday morning, conducted by Rev. Murphy, and the remains were interred in Oakwood cemetery. Hannah J. Gibbons was born in Hocking county, Ohio, May 23, '48, and was married in Cherokee county, May 19, '70, to Rev. John Kershner, a minister in the Kansas M.

E. conference. She was converted at ten years of 'age, and has been a devout Christian all her life. In the relation and work of a minister's wife she was joyous and earnest, and though her health was not rugged she was faithful and earnest, bearing the burdens and sharing the joys of the ministry with Christian courage. After her husband's death, some ten years ago, she made Baldwin her home and set her heart on the education of her children; and her faith bore her up in this work.

This spring she was permitted to see her two daughters graduate from Baker University. She has been a great sufferer. For fifteen weeks she has been confined to her bed. She has been kept to this life by the loving ministry of her children and friends, BLACK JACK. H.
