MOVIES MOVE FOR DECENCY National Association Plans to Bar Questionable Films New York, March to prevent the production of questionable films and to preclude exploitation of pictures in a manner offensive to good taste were embodied in resolutions adopted by the National Association of the Motion PicIndustry, made public here last night. The association, which represents most of the motion picture producers and distributors in the United States, protested against films "arousing baudy emotions, pandering to a salicious curiosity, or in any manner injurious to public welfare." If the producers do not live up to this standard, the resolution threatthem with expulsion, and declared the association would assist in the criminal prosecution of of- fenders. March Dakota, through a bill enacted by the legislature, steps to the fore in meeting the house shortage in that state, by loaning to the individual. the finances necessary for the construction of home.

The bill which becomes a law on July 1, creates a separate home building department within the already established rural credits department. This new department is authorized to sell bonds of the state, the proceeds of which will be loaned at a rate of interest not exceeding one and one-tenth per cent above the rate paid on the bonds. RESTRICT DISTRIBUTION Would Limit Manufacturers to Sale of Own Products Washington, March further restricting the distribution of liquor--now confined to manufacturers and wholesale, druggists -have been drawn await the approval of the new administration. The regulations would limit manufacturers in the sale of their own products. Such a step, in the opinion of prohibition officials, would greatly restrict the sale of intoxicants and by cutting off the slight latitude now allowed manufacturers, coupled with the elimination of the wholesale liquor dealers, virtually would limit the distribution of liquor to wholesale druggists.

Gilmer, suspended county engineer of Reno county, remain a complete mystery. It was rumored that he had gone to Old Mexico to take a position with a mining company. There is no warrant for his arrest, and he has been acquitted of one charge against him. The grand jury, called to investigate the affairs of the engineer's office, will convene the first of April. TWO IRISH MAYORS KILLED (Associated Press) Dublin, March 7-George Clancy, mayor of Limerick, was shot and killed at his home early today and his wife seriously wounded.

About the same time Micheal 'Callaghan, former mayor of that city, also was killed in his residence.
